Four men have been charged with acquisition of proceeds of crime amounting to over Sh 55 million before a Nairobi court.
Warsame Abdi Aden, Adan Noor Mohamed, Ibrahim Mohamed Mohamud and Mohamed Hussein Nur are knowingly receiving Sh 55,949,248 which are proceeds of crime from unidentified persons from South Africa through various M-pesa numbers.
The four are alleged to have committed the offence on diverse dates between 1st January and 31st August 2019 at an unknown place in Kenya, jointly with others not before court.
The accused persons denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Kennedy Cheruiyoit and were granted a bond of Sh 1 million each.
