Four men have been arranged in court and charged with stealing whiskey.

Johnson Mururu Tuluba, Anthony Wanjohi Kingori, Mike Cheruiyot Sisei and Evans Kipkombech Kiptumo were charged with stealing 2 cartons of Johnny Walker red level 1litre, 3 cartons of Johnny Walker 750ml, 52 cartons of Johnny Walker black level 1litre, 23 cartons of Johnny Walker 75ml, 47 cartons of Jameson 1litre, 2 cartons of Johnny Walker double black, 10 cartons of Southern Comfort 1litre all valued at over 2 million shillings.

The accused persons are alleged to have stolen the liquor from one  Grace Wanjiru Maina at Mitchell Cott along Mombasa road in Nairobi.

The four pleaded not guilty before Milimani courts Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi.

The fourth accused person Evans Kiptumo told the court through his lawyer to release him on lenient cash bail on grounds that he is just a watchman who earns a mere salary of Sh. 11,000.

The accused persons were released on a bond of Sh. 1million or alternative cash bail of Sh. 500,000 

The case will be mentioned on 17 October and will be heard on 6th November.
