Globus Tours and Travel Director charged with forgery, stealing

Globus tours and travel Director has been charged before a Nairobi court with forgery and stealing Sh 2.4 million.

Thomas Kinyaga Njuguna is accused of forging a document namely resignation letter of Josephine Wanjiku Kuria purporting it to be a genuine resignation letter as director of Globus Tours and Travel limited.

Njuguna is accused of committing the offence on or about 4th February at unknown place jointly with others not before court with intent to defraud.

The businessman is also accused of stealing Sh 2,452,652 which came to his possession by virtue of his employment as a director.

He is alleged to have committed the offence between 1st February and 18th June 2019.

Njuguna is further charged with knowingly and fraudulently uttering the forged letter to Real Opudu purporting it to be a genuine letter written by Kuria.

The accused is said to have committed the offence on 6th April 2019 at Standard Chartered bank, Kenyatta avenue branch in Nairobi.

He pleaded not guilty before Senior Principal Magistrate Kenneth Cheruiyot and was released on a cash bail of 200,000.
