Ishaka Ltd directors charged with stealing by servant

Two directors of Ishaka Limited have been charged in a Nairobi court with stealing Sh 1.5 million from the company.

Peter Sagwa Chabeda and Cassim Sherali Kassam Jivraj are accused of stealing the above money which got into their possession by virtue of their employment.

The two are alleged to have committee the offence on between 18th July 2017 and 31st October 2018 in Nairobi County.

Chabeda is further charged alone with obtaining money by false pretenses.

He is alleged to have obtained Sh 3 million from Sammy Thou Juma by falsely pretending that he was in a position to produce commercial computer game entitled “Ishaka Son of God” that could be used in multiple digital platforms, a fact he knew to be false.

Chabeda is alleged to have committed the offense between 30th June and 15th November 2016 with intent to defraud.

The two denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi and were released on a cash bail of Sh 100,000.

The case will be heard on 2nd December.
