An IT technician has been charged with stealing Sh 730,000 from Bank of India (BOI) in Nairobi.
Abdurazaq Saleh Okumu is alleged to have stolen the money from th on 23rd July 2019 at Westlands, Nairobi.
Okumu is also charged with forgery of a cheque of the said bank with intent to defraud, purporting it to be a genuine cheque leaf signed and issued by Jagdhis P. Shah.
He denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Kenneth Cheruiyot and was granted a bond of Sh 500,000 or a cash bail of Sh 100,000.
The case will be mentioned on 15th August and heard on 16th September 2019.
