A Nairobi court has adopted a consent agreed by late MP Ken Okoth’s family and MCA Ann Thumbi who allegedly sired a child with him.

The lawyers of the parties Dunstan Omari who is acting for the MCA and Edwin Sifuna who represents Okoth’s mother agreed that DNA samples will be taken by latest 4 pm today after which they shall carry on with the wishes of MP.

They also agreed that Thumbi’s son will participate in the final rights of the late MP’s wishes.

The court had previously issued orders restraining the late MP’s wife Monica Okoth and his mother Angelina Okoth from cremating or disposing body pending hearing and determination of the application.

Muthoni was suing on behalf of her son allegedly sired by Okoth.

She claimed that the two to have unilaterally decided to have the body cremated among other reasons to primarily destroy any evidence of the minor’s lineage to the deceased.

She argued that the two women have deliberately and unfortunately opted to exclude her from the funeral and burial arrangements of the deceased who is learning the arrangement from the media.
