As Migori Governor Okoth obado remains incarcerated at Industrial area prison, one of his bodyguard’s is now being accused of using fake academic papers to acquire employment in the Administration Police Service.
John Chacha Nyamohanga alias Moses Mwita Mogaya was arraigned before a Nairobi court and charged with personating a person in a certificate.
Mogaya is accused of uttering a copy of a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) to the Administration Police Service for purposes of employment.
The certificate is said to have been issued to John Chacha Nyamohanga a Kenyan Defence Force (KDF) officer by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) a lawful authority for that purpose, and falsely presented himself to be the said Chacha.
Obado’s aide was arrested yesterday in a restaurant opposite Milimani Law Courts Nairobi at the time the Governor was pleading to murder charges of slain Rongo University student Sharon Otieno.
Sharon’s body was found in a thicket in Oyugis a day after she went missing. She is alleged to have been in the company a Nation Newspaper journalist when they were abducted.
The journalist, Barrack Oduor, however managed to escape their captives by jumping off a moving vehicle and reported the matter to the police.
Sharon, who was seven months is said to have been having an affair with Obado and had met Oduor to give him a story about Governor who is accused of trying to force her to have an abortion.
He denied the charge and was released on a bond of Sh 1million or an alternative cash bail of Sh 500,000.
