Priest charged with forging change of signatories letter for St. Mary’s hospital account

A priest associated with St Mary’s Mission hospital has been charged with forging a letter for change of signatories on the hospital account domiciled at Prime bank.

William Charles Fryda is alleged to have forges the letter on 17th September 2013 at an unknown place within the Republic of Kenya with intent to deceive.
Fryda was also charged with uttering a false document at Prime Bank, Riverside branch.
The court heard that the priest knowingly and fraudulently uttered a letter of change of signatories on the hospital’s account to Jane Mungai Chifallu , a manager at the said bank purporting it to have been issued by St Mary.
Thirdly, the priest was charged with conspiracy to defraud by means of the said letter, jointly with others not before court.
He is alleged to have committed the offence on diverse dates between 17th and 26th September 2013.
He denied the charges before a Nairobi court and granted a bond of Sh 500,000 or alternative cash bail of Sh 300,000.
The case will be heard on 10th July 2017.
