Gymnast Wendy Waeni’s ex-manager Joseph Mwangi has been charged with forgery.
Mwangi, popularly known as Joe is accused of forging a letter purporting to have been written and signed by Interior and National coordination CS and sent to one Syombua Magdalene via registered gmail account “wendywaeni@gmail.com to Kliqcyber@gmail.com a letter he knew to be a forged document.
The accused is alleged to alleged to have committed the offence on 13th August 2019 within Nairobi county jointly with others not before court with intent to defraud.
Mwangi denied the charge before Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi and has been granted a cashbail of sh 100,000.
The 14 year old gymnast has accused her ex manager of exploiting her for his personal gain since he has never given her mom any money despite her numerous performances and rewards.
The matter will be heard on 8th October 2019.
