13 charged after applying to the National Police Service with forged KCSE certificates

Thirteen people have been charged with forging the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) to fraudulently secure employment to the National Police Service.

The accused persons who were charged separately at Milimani Law Courts, Nairobi, are also accused of uttering the forged academic certificates to recruiting officers.

Among those charges are Moses Kobia, Brian Wekesa Mulonho, Geoffrey Mutahi, Felix Kelel Kishenkop, Hashim Kahindi Furaha, Eugene Kipchirchir, Brian Kipkemoi Cheruiyot, Irene Wanja, William Ngacha Ngatia, Kipchumba Kevin, Kevin Mutusi Mutua, Kasie Morgan Inyasa and Moses Kobia.

They all denied the charges before Principal Magistrate Paul Mutai.

Each was granted a bond of Sh Sh 500,000 with alternative cash bail of Sh 200,000 and two contact persons.
