Atlantis Life Science Limited driver has been charged with stealing goods worth over Sh 15 million.
Morrice Tom Adalo is accused of stealing the goods worth Sh 15,113,961 on diverse dates between 1st May 2022 and 6th June 2024 within Mombasa Road in Nairobi.
He denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Ben-Mark Ekhubi.
The prosecution requested the court to grant stringent bond terms on grounds that he is a flight risk.
The court heard that Adalo, who was in custody for three weeks, went missing after being released and was later apprehended.
“If the bond terms are lenient, the accused person may be tempted to abscond,” the prosecution said.
SPM Ekhubi granted him a bond of Sh 1 million with alternative cash bail of Sh 400,000. He will also be required to provide two contact persons.
The case will be mentioned on 20th January 2025.
