A director of Beyt Properties Limited has been charged with fraudulently obtaining concrete worth over Sh 3.9 million.

Fahad Ibrahim Mohamed is charged alongside Beyt Properties with obtaining from Alliance Concrete Limited 81 cubic meters of C30 ready made concrete and 226 cubic meters of C25 ready made concrete, all valued at Sh 3,923,564, by falsely pretending that he was in a position to pay, a fact he knew to be false.

Mohamed is alleged to have committed the offense on diverse dates between 26th May and 20th July 2024 at Beyt Properties Limited in Kenya, with intent to defraud.

He denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Dolphina Alego.

Mohamed told the Magistrate to grant him lenient bail terms because he had not refused to pay Alliance their dues, rather the loan he was expecting to use in the payment was not approved.

He added that he was willing to pay about Sh 400,000 immediately as a sign of goodwill.

SPM Alego granted him a cash bail of Sh 700,000 subject to review upon payment of the Sh 400,000.
