A case in which three men have been charged with obtaining Sh 1.6 million from Wanyota Investment Limited has been adjourned to 4th February 2025.
This is after the prosecution made an application to have the matter given another hearing date after the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) recalled the file.
The court heard that the DPP has recalled the file and is yet to give directions on the matter.
Credius Nyamwange Oigara, Kenneth Kipkoech Korir and Stephen Maina Githaiga are accused of conspiracy to defraud and dishonestly obtaining Sh 1.6 million from James Njukia Ihura trading Wanyota Investment Limited by falsely pretending that they were in a position to effect an eviction order issued by Mavoko law courts, a fact he knew to be false.
It is alleged that the trio committed the offense on diverse dates between 5th and 15th April 2023 in Nairobi, with intent to defraud.
Oigara is solely charged with impersonating an advocate after presenting himself to Ihura as an advocate of the High Court.
Senior Principal Magistrate Ben-Mark Ekhubi extended a warrant of arrest against Githaiga who did not appear in court.
