
Former Isiolo Constituency Member of Parliament has been charged has been charged with possession of forged dollars.
Abdi Koropu Tepo is accused of being found in possession of 34,200 forged USD currency notes for one hundred denomination.
Tepo is alleged to have committed the offense on 25th July 2024 at Donholm Estate in Nairobi.
The former lawmaker is also charged with being found in possession of 300 pieces of papers intended to resemble and pass as a special paper such as is provided and used in making a Euro currency notes.
In addition, Tepo is charged with being in possession of a firearm and (ceska CZ 75) and 80 rounds of ammunition without valid certificates from the firearm licencing board.
He denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Bernard Ochoi and was released on a cash bail of Sh 100,000.
The case will be mentioned on 12th August 2024 for pre-trial.
