A businessman has been charged with issuing a bad cheque for Sh 150 million to Accurate Steel Mills Limited.
Nikesh Popatlal Shah is accused of issuing a Kenya Commercial Bank cheque for the above amount to be drawn in favour of Accurate Steel Mills having previously instructed the bank not to honour it.
The accused is alleged to have committed the offense on 16th May 2023 at Vibhuti Hardware Limited in Nairobi.
He denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Robinson Ondieki and was released on a cash bail of Sh 100, 000.
The case will be mentioned on 13th March 2023.
