A man has been charged with making mineral dealers (trading) licenses without authority.

Kevin Otieno Onyango is accused of making mineral licence registration No. MDL/T DTL/2024/044 for Cargocare freight forwarders purporting it to be a genuine document duly issued by the Ministry of mining, a fact he knew to be false

Onyango is also facing four other counts of forging the mineral dealers (trading) licenses for Twinstar Freight Fowarders, Pivot Point Freight Fowarders, Metropolitan Express cargo and Generations Freighters Forwarders.

The accused purported that all the licenses were genuine and issued by the Ministry of mining.

The court heard that Onyango committed the offense at unknown place and time, within the Republic of Kenya, with intent to defraud, without lawful authority or excuse.

He denied the charges before Principal Magistrate Ben Mark Ekhubi and was released on a cash bail of Sh 200,000 pending the hearing and determination of the case.
