Man charged with Sh 880K fraud after failing to deliver a Toyota Noah

A man has been charged with Sh 800,000 fraud after failing to deliver a Toyota Noah to a client.

David Kioi Mutungi alias Daudi is accused of obtaining Sh 880,000 from Grace Wambui Kinuthia by falsely pretending that he was in a position to sell to her a Toyota Noah, a fact he knew to be false.

Mutungi is alleged to have committed the offense on diverse dates between 28th and 31st October 2024, at unknown place within the Republic of Kenya, jointly with others not before court.

He denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Lukas Onyina and was released on a cash bail of Sh 200,000.
