A man accused of stealing over Sh 55 million from Afya Sacco Society Limited has been charged.
Patrick Muithi Muthangya is accused of stealing Sh 55,649,000 from the sacco on diverse dates between 8th December 2016 and 1st November 2021 at Afya Sacco Society Ltd offices in Nairobi.
Muthangya is also charged with conspiring with others before court to steal the said money.
The prosecution told the court that there is another similar mater already before in which the accused persons were granted a cash bail of Sh 1 million.
Muthangya denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Dolphina Alego and was granted similar bail terms.
The cases will be mentioned on 12th May for consolidation.
