Man charged with stealing Sh 6.8M from Kenyatta National Hospital

A man has been charged with stealing Sh 6.8 million from Kenyatta National Hospital.

Samuel Ndothya is accused of stealing Sh 6,8833,930.10 on 7th June 2023 at Equity Bank, Kenyatta Avenue Branch in Nairobi.

Ndothya is also charged with forging a notification of award of tender No. KNH/T/25/2022-2023 supply and delivery of building material of Sh 14,299,546 purporting it to be a genuine notification from KNH.

The accused is alleged to have committed the offense on 15th July 2022 at unknown place within the Republic of Kenya.

Ndothya is also charged with conspiring with others not before court to defraud KNH the said amount.

He denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Robinson Ondieki and was granted a cash bail of Sh 600,000.
