High court has dismissed an application in which Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi was seeking to stop his prosecution.

While delivering the judgment, justice Hedwig Ong’udi ruled that Sudi’s were not violated hence the petition had no merit.

Sudi moved to the high court to challenge his prosecution saying that his fundamental rights had been violated by EACC and DPP.

The legislator had argued that the EACC lacked the jurisdiction to investigate his academic qualifications.

Sudi was charged on October 6, 2016 for an offence of having used fake academic certificates during the 2013 General Election.
