Three men have been charged with swapping Central Police Station OCS Samson Kiprotich Talam’s simcard.
Amos Nzomo Kimanzi, James Mutemi Munyithyaand Dennis Masavi Musyimi are accused of conspiring to replace Talam’s simcard and unlawfully soliciting money from members of the public for thei own gain.
Munyithya is also charged with unlawfully using Kimanzi’s Identity to register a sim card and to activate a mobile phone handset which is used to register and replace sim cards.
Kimanzi is also charged with permitting Munyithya to be in possession of his identity card to register a sim card and to activate a mobile phone handset used to register and replace sim cards.
On the other hand, Musyimi is charged with willfully procuring for another person registration of Talam’s sim card replacement by falsely pretending to be the said Samson Kiprotich Talam.
The trio is alleged to have committed the offense on diverse dates between 16th and 19th June 2025 within the Republic of Kenya, jointly with another before court and with others not before court.
