Two men have been charged with obtaining over Sh 12 million from a businesswoman for importation of clothes from China.
Mohamed Mohamud Abdi and Bashir Ali Gabow are accused of obtaining USD 100,000 (apprx Sh 12.8 million) from Fatuma Hassan Osman (Khadija) by falsely pretending that they would facilitate the importation of clothes from China, a fact they knew to be false or untrue.
The duo denied the charges before Principal Magistrate Ben Mark Ekhubi who granted each a bond of Sh 2 million with one surety of a similar amount.
Alternatively, the accused persons were granted a cash bail of Sh 1 million each and provide one contact person.
The case will be mentioned on 23rd October 2024.
