Two women charged over Tranz Global director Sh 68M fraud

Two women have been charged with conspiracy to defraud the director of Tranz Global Services Sh 68 million.

Selestine Muyoka Wanjala and Mourine Oside Mugarizi are accused of conspiring to defraud, Thomas Burton Coleman a sum of USD 445,000(Apprx. Sh68 million) by falsely pretending that they were in a position to offer him transport services to transport cargo from Belgrade to Malawi, fact you knew to be false.

The duo is alleged to have committed the offense on diverse dates between 5th April and 30th July 2022, within Nairobi County, jointly with others not before court with intent to defraud.

They denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi.

Wanjala and Mugarizi were granted on a bond of Sh two million, each, with one surety of a similar amount.

They were also given an alternative to pay Sh 500,000 with one contact person.
