Two KNH nurses charged with forging Corona patients test reports

Two nurses from Kenyatta National Hospital infectious disease unit (IDU) have been charged with making forged covid-19 patients test reports.

Samwel Shikanda Alukwe Omumi and Deleven Enock Moses are facing several counts of forgery and uttering the said false documents.

Prosecution accused the two jointly conspired to make forged covid-19 patients test reports on 5th July at Kenyatta National Hospital’s infectious disease unit (IDU) at Mbagathi hospital for several people.

Moses who has three different case of a similar nature is also charged that on 6th July at Highrise Estate in Ngumo location within Nairobi county knowingly and fraudulently uttered a forged covid-19 patients test report to Samwel Shikanda Alukwe purporting it to be genuine covid-19 patients test report from KNH.

They both denied the charges before Senior Resident Magistrate Sinkiyian Tobiko

Omumi who had one case file was granted a cash bail of Sh 50,000 while Moses was granted a cash bail of Sh 100,000 for one file, 50,000 for the other and the last one to deposit a personal bond of Sh 500,000 pending hearing and determination of the case

The matters will be mentioned on 10th August 2020.
