Kevin Adam Kinyanjui Kangethe is alleged to have murdered his girlfriend Margaret Mbitu on 31st October 2023 before fleeing the US for Kenya.
The Director of Public Prosecution Renson Ingonga said in a press statement that Kangethe was extradition on 1st September 2024.
Kangethe, 41, is set to face the charge of murder at Suffolk Superior Court in Pemberton Square, Boston, on 3rd September 2024.
The suspect was on the run for months until he was apprehended by Kenya authorities.
Kangethe, 41, Mbitu in Boston, Massachusetts and leaving her body in his car at Logan International Airport before taking a flight to Kenya.
Police found Mbitu’s body on 1st November 2023, at around 6:35 pm in the said car at the airport garage.
