A man gas been charged with defrauding two businessmen Sh 1.8 million for a branding tender at Chan Events at Kasarani.
Yusuf Sakali is accused of obtaining Sh 950,000 from David Gire Mamo by falsely pretending that he was in a position to secure a tender and incorporate him in branding, screening of fan zone and VIP refreshment at Chan Events at Kasarani, a fact he knew to be false.
Sakali is also charged with obtaining another Sh 950,000 from Ayele Beko Moyo by falsely pretending that he was in a position to secure a tender and incorporate him in branding, screening of fan zone and VIP refreshment at Chan Events at Kasarani, a fact he knew to be false.
It is alleged that he committed the offense on diverse dates between 31st July and 1st August 2025 in Nairobi, with intent to defraud.
He denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Theresa Nyangena and was granted a cash bail of Sh 100,000.
