Man charged with Sh 11B Mavoko land fraud

A man has been charged with intent to defraud to defraud Drumvale Farmers Cooperative Society land worth Sh 11 billion in Mavoko.

Jeremiah Mutisya Paul is accused of making a certificate of lease for the said land without lawful authority purporting it to be genuine and valid document issued by the registrar of titles, a fact he knew to be false.

The accused is alleged to have committed the offense on unknown place and time jointly with others not before court court with intent to defraud Drumvale Farmers Cooperative society their parcel of land IR 20982 LR 8529/1 situated in Mavoko Machakos county measuring approximately 452.0ha and valued Sh 11 billion.

Paul denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Robinson Ondieki.

He was granted a bond of Sh 1 million plus one surety of a similar amount and alternative cash bail of Sh 600, 000.
