TVR Towers Ltd directors charged with Sh 112M fraud

Two directors of TVR Towers Limited have been charged in a Nairobi court over Sh 112 million fraud.

Tribhovan Lalji Chavda and Jayesh Tribhovan Chavda are accused that on the diverse dates between 16th October 2019 and 31st July 2023 at unknown place, jointly with others not before court, conspired to defraud TRV Towers Ltd the said money.

Lalji is also charged with stealing the said money which got into his possession by virtue of his employment.

The duo is also charged with making a document without authority.

The court heard that on 16th October 2019 at TRV Towers Ltd offices along 3rd Parklands Avenue in Westlands Sub-County in Nairobi County, with intent to defraud and without lawful authority the two jointly made Bank of Baroda account opening document, purporting it to be genuine.

Lastly, the two are charged with uttering the forged account opening document purporting it to have been signed by the company directors, with intent to defraud.

The two denied the charges before Principal Magistrate Ben Mark Ekhubi and were released on a cash bail of Sh 200,000 and Sh 150,000 respectively.
