A finance manager and finance officer of Vintage Africa limited have been charged with stealing over Sh 93 million from the said company.
Benard Omondi Odhiambo and Jimmy Nandwa appeared are also charged with conspiring to steal Sh 80,673,324, the property of Vintage Africa.
They are alleged to have committed the offence between 1st June 2018 and 21st May 2021 at Vintage Africa limited in Nairobi, jointly with others not before court.
According to the prosecution, Odhiambo, being a finance manager at the said company, stole Sh 12, 249,874. On the other hand, Nandwa, the finance officer, stole Sh 81 million from their employer.
The accused persons are also facing charges of stealing by servant and fraudulent false accounting. They denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku who granted the a cash bail of Sh 1 million each
