A man has been charged with defrauding unsuspend Kenyans over Sh 2.5 million by promising to facilitate their employment in the National Police Service.
James Chesimani Masengeli alias Timothy Khatete Barasa is accused of obtaining Sh 2,588,000 by pretending he was in a position to secure seven jobd employment in the NPS, a fact he knew to be false.
Masengeli is alleged to have committed the offense on diverse dates between 18th and 23rd November 2025 at unknown place within the Republic of Kenya, with intent to defraud.
He denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Dolphina Alego.
The accused person was granted a bond of Sh 1 million with alternative cash bail of Sh 500,000.
