The former wife to businessman William Osewe of Ranalo Dala Foods Limited has been charged with forgery in what is assumed to be an attempt to take over the company.
Stella Ann Mutheu Osewe is accused of knowingly making a false statement in an affidavit of resignation dated 1st August 2022, for William Osewe Guda from Ranalo Foods Dala Ltd, submitted to the Director of Business Registration Services, purporting that her estranged husband had resigned as a director, which statement she knew or ought to have known to be false.
Mutheu is also accused of forging an affidavit of transfer of shares purporting it to have been authored and signed by Osewe.
In addition, she is accused of making a false statement in minutes of the board of directors of Ranalo Foods Limited dated 1st August 2022, for Osewe from Ranalo foods, submitted to the Director of Business Registration Services. purporting that Osewe had resigned as a director, which statement she knew or ought to have known to be false.
The accused is facing several other charges of forgery and uttering forged documents.
She denied the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Ben-Mark Ekhubi and was released on a cash bail of Sh 250,000.
