Businessman charged for failing to prevent firearm loss and reporting to police

A businessman has been charged with failing to take precaution to prevent loss of his firearm.

Philip Juma Nambeba is accused at unknown date in the Republic of Kenya, being a custodian of a firearm Webbley revolver serial No. A39342, failed to take reasonable precaution to prevent it loss.

Nambeba faces another charge of falling to prevent the loss of 40 rounds ammunition contrary to the Firearms Act.

Lastly, the accused  faced a charge of failing to report the loss of his firearm and the 40 rounds of ammunition.

He pleaded not guilty before Senior Principal Magistrate Martha Mutuku.

He was released on a bond of Sh 500,000 or a cash bail of Sh 300,000.

The case will be mentioned on 27th of this month for pre trial and will be heard on 7th March.
