Court has allowed police to hold a KMO Sacco driver who caused the death of a 25 year old lady by dangerous driving.

Patrick Macharia Magu will remain at Central police station for a period of four days to allow police complete investigations and establish the cause of death.

Magu is alleged to have sandwiched Nelly Waithera between another vehicle while he was reversing his vehicle Reg. No. KBR 014B at the junction of Tom Mboya street and Maragua lane in Nairobi.

Investigating officer corporal Peter Ndirangu told Resident Magistrate Esther Kimilu that a post-mortem has been conducted on the deceased before the police can prefer criminal charges against the driver.

The officer told the court that the prosecution witnesses have not yet recorded statements and the driver’s place of aboard has not been established making him a flight risk.
