Public Service Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa’s lawyers have written a letter to the DPP to withdraw the case against her in Mombasa.
Lawyers Danstan Omari, Martina Swiga and Omaiyo Mogaka said DPP Noordin Haji should review Jumwa’s file and apply for withdrawal just like he did with Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s case.

While addressing journalists outside Milimani Law Courts, the lawyers said there is no evidence against Jumwa in the case.
Omari noted that Jumwa has never owned a firearm adding that the bullet that hit the victim is not an ordinary civilian bullet.
Jumwa is charged alongside her bodyguard Geoffrey Okuto with the murder of one Ngumbao Jola in Kilifi in 2019.
The victim was shot during the Ganda ward by-election.
