Man charged for obtaining over Sh 3M form Kenyan footballer’s mother

A man has been charged with obtaining millions of shillings from the mother of one of the international footballers from Kenya by false pretenses.

Anthony Njuguna Nyagah was charged with obtaining Sh 3,639,280 from Mildred Ayiemba Osotsi pretending he was a building and contraction contractor and was in a position to construct for her a residential house in Soy, Uasin Gishu County, a fact he knew to be false.

Nyagah is alleged to have committed the offence on 16th February 2017 in Nairobi with intent to defraud.

He denied the charges and was released on a bond of Sh 500,000 or alternative cash bail of Sh 300,000. The matter will be mentioned on 11th June and will be heard on 4th July 2017.
