Man charged with stealing gun of a deceased

A man has been charged with stealing a Ceska pistol valued Sh200,000.

Michael Macharia Mwangi is accused of stealing the Ceska pistol belonging to the late Tapata O. Lengues.

The accused is alleged to have committed the offence on 6th November 2020 at Industrial Area in Nairobi, jointly with others before court.

Mwangi denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Wendy Kagendo.

He was granted a bond of Sh 300,000 with alternative cash bail of Sh 200,000.

Mwangi is the fifth person to be charged with the offence. His co-accused persons, Faith Makena Kithinji, Dominic Ondari Ombongi, Wosken Ndombi Makokha and Joseph Ochieng Barasa were charged with and released on bail.
