The Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji has clarified that FKF President Nick Mwendwa’s corruption case was withdrawn not dismissed.
Sections of the media had reported yesterday that Mwendwa was acquitted of the charges against him in the Sh 38 million corruption case.
The DPP further nites that there is new evidence in the case and Mwendwa is expected to be charged on Monday 11th before Kiambu Law Courts.
“The case was expected to commence on 5th July 2022 but the prosecution could not proceed with the hearing following the discovery of additional evidence availed by the Director of Criminal Investigations,” said the DPP.

The FKF president was charged with misappropriation of Sh 38,002,709.
Haji has applied for summons against Mwendwa to face charges next week.
Mwendwa was facing several charges including four charges of fraudulent acquisition of public property. He is alleged to have made away with Sh 2.5 million from the FKF on 15th May 2021 and Sh 5 million on March 4 respectively.
