A south Sudanese national enjoyed his two weeks stay at Nairobi’s Serena Hotel.

However, after enjoying his accommodation and meals which amounted to over Sh 350,000, he could not afford to pay the bill.

Amir Ahmed Mohammed stayed at the hotel from 12th to 28th April 2020.

When presented before Milimani Law Court, the accused denied incurring the said debt/liability at the hotel by obtaining credit of Sh 359,261.40.

Serena Hotel alleged that Mohammed pretended that he would pay the bill on 29th April 2022 a fact he knew to be false.

He denied the charge before Chief Magistrate Wendy Kagendo.

He was granted a cash bail of Sh 100,000.
