Three men have been charged with illegally refilling gas cylinders without authority from the brand owners.
Alex Ndirangu Muturi, Vincent Arabia and George Kimani Njuguna are accused of filling 3 pieces of 6kgs LPG cylinders of Total, 2 pieces of 6kgs cylinder of Tosha gas, 1 piece 13kgs cylinder of E-gas, 1 piece 6kgs cylinder of K-gas, 1 piece 13kgs cylinder of EDA gas and 17 pieces 6kgs cylinders of EDA gas without authority from the brand owners to fill.
The three are alleged to have committed the offence on 9th November 202 at Kendal Energy Solutions Company Limited storage and filling facility along Limuru road, Kiambu county.
Njuguna is also charged alone with transporting Liquefied Petroleum Gas without a valid licence from the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority.
They denied the charges before Senior Resident Magistrate Jane Kamau and were granted a cash bail of Sh 100,000 each.
