A woman arrested along Ngong Road in Nairobi while drunk and driving has been charged.
Sharon Mirella Wakhu who is alleged to be romantically involved with a former politician denied charges of driving on a public road while under the influence of alcohol to an extent of being incapable of having proper control of the vehicle.
The accused is alleged to have committed the offence on 22nd September, at about 0735hrs, along Ngong Road within Nairobi County.
She denied the charges before Principal Magistrate Martha Nanzushi.

Wakhu had been presented in court on 22nd September 2022 under the name Sharon Oparanya did not plead to the charges after she told the court that Oparanya was not her name.
Last week, the accused was too drunk to stay awake as she waited for the court session to begin to an extent of snoring in open court.
After pleading to the charges, Wakhu was released on a cash bail of Sh 10,000 .
The case will be mentioned on 12th October 2022.
