It is a blow for Kenyan businessman Kirimi Koome after the High Court extended orders freezing his bank accounts.

Justice Alfred Mabeya extended the orders for a further 30 days until 20th December 2023 pending the hearing and determination of the case.

The court directed the matter to be heard on 18th, 19th and 20th 2022. The judge noted that the matter will be heard expeditiously.

In the case, Kirimi is entangled in a business dispute with a Rwandese businessman over Sh 400 million invested in Stay Online Limited.

Kirimi is accused of conspiring to defraud Desire Muhinyiza the Sh 400 million and stealing Sh 14 million.

Through lawyer Danstan Omari, Muhinyiza alleges that Kirimi resigned as the director of the company and was paid his dues only to return and claim more money.

However, Kirimi insists that he is the sole owner of the business and signatory of the accounts of the company.
