Businessman charged after failing to pay Sh 4.7 million for TVs

A businessman has been charged after failing to pay television sets  worth Sh 4.7 million.

Aman Mohindra is accused of obtaining 42 pieces of 55 inches of AIWA smart bass Televisions valued at Sh 2,058,000 from Sameer Gulamabass Hussein, the director of Aetlantic Group Limited. 

He allegedly obtained the TVs by falsely pretending that he was in a position to pay for the said goods.

Mohindra is said to have committed the offence on 17th January 2022 at Atlantic group limited in Embakasi, Nairobi with intent to defraud.

The accused is further charged with obtaining 50 more pieces of 55 inches AIWA smart bass television. Another 12 pieces of 39 inches AIWA digital bass television all valued at 2,648,000 from the same company.

He is alleged to have committed the offence on 20th January 2022 at the said office.

Mohindra denied the charges before Esther Kimilu.

He was granted a bond of Sh 2 million with one surety of a similar amount with alternative cash bail of Sh 500,000.

The case will be mentioned on 10th May for pre-trial.
