A businessman has been charged with forgery and conspiracy to defraud Samco Holding Limited land worth Sh 200 million.
Patrick Omani Nyamweya is accused of conspiring to defraud Samco a parcel of land LR 209/14067 IR 1157090. LR. NO. 209/11822) situated along Mombasa Road measuring 0.9003 hectares by fraudulently registering the said land in the name of Innfield investment Limited.
Nyamweya is alleged to have committed the offence on unknown date and place jointly with others not before court.
The accused is also charge with forging the signature of Fredrick Indoko Lubulellah, a senior land registrar at Ardhi house Nairobi on grant IR 1157090. LR. NO. 209/11822) dated 30th June 1999 with intent to defraud Samco holdings Limited the said land.
The businessman together with another not before court are also charged with forging the signature of Caren Kemunto Nyakundi, a land registrar at Ardhi house Nairobi on grant IR 1157090. LR. NO. 209/11822) dated 30th June 1999 purporting it to be genuine signed by her.
Nyamweya is also facing charges of uttering false documents, forging the said grant and malicious damage to property belonging to Samco.
He denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi who granted him a bond of Sh 1 million or cash bail of Sh 500,000.
