A Chinese national has been charged with obtaining Sh 5.5 million from a businessman in Nairobi for sale of mobile phones.
Zhu Wanbin is accused of obtaining the money from Abdiaziz Abdullahi Mohamed by falsely pretending that he was in a position to supply him with 25,000 pieces of mobile phones, make Gotel, a fact you knew to be false.
Wanbin is alleged to have committed the offense on 29th and 30th December 2023, at Equity bank Limited, Mama Ngina branch, in Nairobi with intent to defraud.
He denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Susan Shitubi and was granted a bond of Sh 10 million.
