Couple pleads guilty to forgery of Group Seven Security Co. documents

A couple has pleaded guilty to 11 counts of forgery and uttering false documents of Group Seven Security Company 

Willykester Ndanu Mwendwa and Patrick Juma Kingoro, pleaded guilty to forging the resignation letters of the company’s directors Abdi Sahal Ali and Hussein Hassan Ali.

The two also pleaded guilty to forging the minutes of a meeting held on 24th August 2017 purporting to be signed by Abdi Sahal as the Chairperson, form CR19 notice of ordinary resolution of the said company, affidavits and shares transfer forms of the two directors.

The Complainant, Group Seven Security Company, through their Lawyer implored the court to impose a harsh punishment on the husband and wife for forging their documents.

The couple pleaded guilty before Chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku. They were each sentenced to two months imprisonment with an alternative of a fine of Sh 20,000.

However, the complainant was dissatisfied with the sentence terming it as lenient.
