Kenyan man to be extradited to UK to face child sexual offences

A Nairobi Court has given the greenlight for extradition of a Kenyan man wanted in the United Kingdom over allegations of child molestation.

The prosecution made an application to have Anthony Kamau alias Anthony Kinuthe Kamau alias Anthony Kinuthia Kamau detained at the Anti Terror Police Unit for seven days pending the extradition.

Chief Magistrate Wendy Kagendo allowed the suspect to be detained at ATPU as the preparation of a surrender warrant is being done.

Kamau is accused of sexually molesting three minors.

After preparation of the surrender warrant, the suspect will be handed over to the UK government.

Kamau has been accused in the Chelmsford Crown court in the UK with seven counts of sexual offences.

These include sexual assault of a child under 13 years, causing or insighting a child under the age of 13 to engage in a sexual activity and five other counts of sexual activities with children.
