A man has been charged with stealing 620 bales of Kabras sugar worth over Sh 3 million while in transit.
Sammy Kiplagat Yego is accused of stealing the Kabras sugar worth Sh 3,224,000 fromSammy Kiplagat Yego Maisha Steel East Africa Limited.
Yego is alleged to have committed the offence on 25th May 2022 along Kakamega -Nairobi Highway jointly with others not before court.
The accused is said to have stolen the said sugar from a KDG 678V Faw truck while in transit from West Kenya company ltd within Kakamega county to Siana Trading Company Limited within Nairobi City County.
He denied the charges before Senior Resident Magistrate Muthoni Njagi. He was granted a bond of Sh 1 million.
