A man has told a Nairobi court that he had consensual sex with a fellow man and was paid Sh 200 for it.
Michael Mwangi Njoroge is charged with raping a 27 year old dumb man.
He however denied the charge before Principal Magistrate Helen Okwani.
Njoroge told the court that the act was consensual. He said he met the complainant on his way from work and according to his body language, since he is unable talk, that is what he wanted and even went ahead to reward him Sh 200.
The police objected his release on bond on grounds that they needed to take the DNA samples collected from both parties to the government chemist.
The police requested for four days to detain him so as to get someone who can understand sign language to translate for them what the complainant was saying.
The accused will be in custody until 1st November when the case will be mentioned.
