Nairobi businessman withdraws case against client

Nairobi businessman Rogers Okuta Ochieng has withdrawn a criminal case against one of his clients who had hired a vehicle from him after agreeing to pay the amounts due.

Ochieng had sued one Elsbon Mwangi for unlawfully using his motor vehicle registration number KCG 414E, Nissan Blue Bird he had hired but was taken back after the amount reached Sh 258,000, which he had failed to pay.

Mwangi is alleged to have committed the offense on diverse dates between 24th November 2018 and 24th February 2018 at an unknown place within Kenya.

The businessman had further accused Mwangi of issuing a bad cheque. It is alleged that on 24th November 2017 at Mercantile house along Koinange Street in Nairobi, Mwangi issued Ochieng a cheque for 18,000 and another for Sh 110,000 for a CBA bank account, knowing it had insufficient funds.

He had denied the charges and released on a cash bail of Sh 50,000 which the court directed it be given to Ochieng as part of the settlement.
