Narok man charged with obtaining Sh 19 million in fake Mara Serengeti Trust tender

A Narok man has been charged with obtaining Sh 19 million in a fake Mara Serengeti Trust tender.

 

Daniel Paseia Kimogor is accused of obtaining the money from Nur Khalifa Maalim Kassim.

 

Kimogor said to have pretended that the entity called the Mara Serengeti Trust had given him a tender to supply 7,000 liters of a certain herbicide namely pramitol, a fact he knew to be false.

 

The accused is alleged to have committed the offence between 1st and 29th March 2022 in Nairobi.

 

He denied the charges before Senior Resident Magistrate Ikhubi.

 

Kimogor was granted a Sh 5 million bond. He was also given alternative cash bail of Sh 1 million and provide two contact persons.

 

The court directed that one of the contact persons must be a civil servant.

 

The case will be mentioned on 21st July 2022 for pre-trial.
